sapwood mulberry

i wanted to try mulberry sapwood so here is a 55" 35# @ 26" , sapwood is much lighter than i expected but it is pretty strong. was goin for 40# but seems like all my bows keep coming in light :-\  but its a fun target bow.

I've made bows with mulberry sapwood. Works great but a sapwood bow is a lot thicker than a similar bow of heartwood.
 You did a good job on this bow.

35lbs is a good all day shooting bow. good job, I did that on 2 bows myself, just gave one to my wife and one to my daughter.

Nice bow.  35# bows are fun to shoot aren't they?  That's a nice one.  You did good job.  It doesn't need to be a rocket launcher to be a good bow... Good job man.

Great lookin bow Shawn! I got a bunch of mulberry that I was thinkin I was goin to have to take the sapwood off, guess not. :)

And to think, I've been hogging off all that sap wood on Red Mulberry. Wonder if the same is true for Osage?

i saw a osage sapwood bow in lawton that was made by an apache bowyer(cant remember his name) but it can be done, i think osage just checks easier.
