Short Bow
« on: April 17, 2011, 04:59:52 pm »
Well half eye, ya did it again. Had to try to make a short bow. 3rd times the charm. The first 2 broke :( But that was my fault. Tried to push them to 25" and 27" ::)
Anyway. Got this one. BBO 48" overall 46" n2n pulls 52# at 21" ( wasn't going to push this one ;D) 1 1/4" wide to 8" from tips then tapering to 1/2" Bend through the handle. It held about an 1 1/2" reflex.

Short, sweet, and to the point.  No room to cheat on your tillering skills on those shorties, is there?  You nailed it, sir, you nailed it good!

Tiller looks great! You guys with your short bows just amaze me. I made one 48" bow and I found it to be one of the most challenging bows to tiller. Good job!

WHAT?!?!?!?!  All that extra limb weight will slow the arrows down in excess of a 3/8ths of an inch per second!  What were you thinking, you mad Limey!
