Very good addition to your videos and the howto's and build allongs! I have been wanting to make one of these and this video will help me 100% thanks a bunch crafty! Will you be useing this in one of your videos on a bow once your arrows videos and stuff are done? Great job!

Yes, this bowstring is part of a Native American style archery set I'm currently making.  The set will be in the "southern plains" style.  I will attempt to make the set without European influence, or "pre-contact" in appearance.  I will be using modern tools for now, but in the future I plan to make videos using only stone-age technology to construct the archery sets.

Thanks Jeff.  It might look easy but it's not, as you probably know.  I've made quite of few, so that helps.  Your first two or three strings will be the hardest to make.  After that it's not too bad.  Using LONG sinew really helps and cuts way back on the learning curve.

Great videos, I watched the whole series and I think if you can build your own flemish twist strings you can make one from sinew. I had no idea how sinew strings were made, but after watching the videos I know I can do this. Been making my own flemish twist strings for quite some time now but never touched a piece of sinew. The principles are very similar and makes me wonder who taught who? If this is how the Indians made their strings, then did they teach the Flemish or did the flemish teach the Indians? LOL

I also subscribed to your channel while I was there. Looking forward to seeing more how to videos cause I make some myself. I love making how to videos and watching others, nothing like seeing it done first hand to get the idea. So much easier than trying to explain it to someone.

Mike, I think there is free software out there that will allow you to download youtube videos?  You can then save the videos in a format recognized by your computer...I think. ;)
