Made my first arrows

Here is my first attempt at arrow making.  Shafts are bamboo from Lowes.  I was trying to get the spine around 50-55 so they are different lengths.  I haven't weighed them yet.  I wrapped the tip and knock with heavy duty thread.  I soaked the tips with epoxy.  It didn't smooth out very good at all.  I had to sand some of them down.  When I wrapped the knock ends, I soaked them with superglue and it looked much better.  Points are 16 penny duplex nails.

looks a lot better than my first!  looks like they group well too.  luckily you have a car parked behind your target incase you miss, it wont skip into the street!  lol

careful with those cars. great job on those theyre really nice arrows, and the fletchings all look the same.

Thanks for the nice comments.   I wasn't shooting them there.  I brought the target into the garage to snap a quick picture.  The wife would kill me if I sent a flyer into her car.

Legionnaire,  I used my homemade feather burner for the fletchings.

      Very well done, sir. The proof is in the "group".....cause it shure looks like they are flyin good. Good lookin to boot. If you want to try something ya can coat your thread with clear fingernail polish (get mine form the dollar store) it's actually about pure lacquer. Thestuff lays down nice and flat and when ya want to touch it up it's real easy to re-apply.
      Anyways, those are very nice arrows
