rehandled osage bow

I had trouble with the handle wrap on the 64# osage bow I built a while back. Was tough for me to grip consistently, so I decided to try something new.

After. Sock wool yarn and elk hide with a rolled top and bottom. Bend thru the handle but reverse riser(built up with leather). Seems much easier to grip consistently.

pretty cool. like the way the leather flares on the ends-probably could work as an arrow rest. the wrappings colors have a SW color pattern that I have always like.....Ya my wife always bugs me about learning to type fast. I just tell her I type as fast as my two fingers can move and me find the right letters..

Yup the rolled top works great for a consistent arrow placement..........ambidextrous too, unlike me

Yup, it was a bit slick, also the shape was too rounded on the belly side. It seems to fit the groove where my thumb meets my palm better if it is more flat with just the corners rounded out a bit. Works for me anyway.
