corner tang

another piece of raw texas. had a tough time with getting full flake removal. you can see where the flakes stopped traveling . normaly when using the antler punch i have to worry about rooling the opposite edge off when the flakes go to far. these last couple of texas pieces , rolling the edge wasnt a problem.

thank you. took me a while to realise that was an "ouch apple"  ;D

most of this was done with hammerstone. which is obvious on the opposite side, random flake scars. the side shown above was finished with the antler punch then dressed with a tine.

this is the hammerstone side

I bet every time you walk through your kitchen the apples are like, "Aw crap, here he comes again.  He got Frank just the other day, and now he's back to stick one of us."

Or something like that.  Anyway, once again that's a purdy, pointy rock you got there.
