New pressure flaker
« on: April 02, 2011, 12:19:11 pm »
Told my dad what I wanted, with intentions of doing it myself, he called me and told me to stop by his house on the way home and pick it up. Said well ok, and here it was, exactly how I had planned to do myself. 3/4" round aluminum stock, 1/4" set screw in the side and 3/16" copper ground wire.

Can make them to whatever specification if anybody wants any at the Classic.

how about an Ishi stick sized one
say about 18" long or so
what would ya need for it
and i am gonna guess that it doesnt have the same flex as my delron Ishi has
i always wanted a harley, untill it became the "thing to ride"
i ride because i love to,not to be part of the crowd

Looks good. I don't know if it would work for an ishi stick. I think the aluminum might bend. But I have been wrong before

I just checked. It doesn't flex. I would use Delrin, but I don't have any, and I'm being frugal and using what I have. Unless I have major issues with this, I'm too lazy to use wood. haha

Thanks Bryan. I like it, just needs a smidge more taper at the buisness end. My last belt on my belt sander broke before I could finish it. So there it is until I get some more belts.

I started out with broom handle Ishi's and they worked great with the flex and all. Now I have the fancy store bought delrin Ishi and it works just as well but i still miss my broom handles ;).
