the "correct" way to string a bow?

Hey. I was just wondering if anyone had any "correct" ways for stringing a bow? i know some ways can damage bows, I dont have a bow stringer, though i could probably make one easy enough.
could anyone describe any methods they use?

I use the push /pull also except on Heavy or longer bows say over 66 inches. Then I use a stringer,probably best bet is using a stringer I just sometimes don't take the time. :)

Straight, light bows (<60#) I push/pull. Heavier straight bows (60-80#) and recurves I use the step-though method.....and I use a stringer for warbows +80#.

60" and under I use push/ pull.  Anything over that I use either push pull or the step through...and even just putting my knee on the handle and pull the top limb to me for heavier or longer bows.

I've never noticed anymore set due to stringing and unstringing.  I always focus on evenly stressing both limbs white stringing and unstringing.

I use my stringer 100% of the time on my wood bows. I do that because I figure I work too hard building a bow to risk breaking it doing it any other way. My one glass bow gets strung with the push/pull method.

OK, I just wanted to do a little survey, it seems most people use push/pull, and so do I, though, I use my knee to push, instead of my hand. This way seems ten bajillion times easier then with my arms :P

I use push pull on everything except fiberglass recurves (thankfully I don't mess with them). Those I bend over my knee and have someone else move the loop. If the bow is too heavy for me to string with the push-pull, it's too heavy for me to shoot :D
