Feather damage in quiver

Hello, this is my first post/topic and i don't know if this has been covered before (sorry  ;D)

I just fletched 8 turkey feathers and use them for target shooting, i store them in my quiver when not in use. Will being all together in the quiver have an impact on the feathers? will they start to bend or get damaged?

It might happen, especially if for some reason you decide to pack them in the bottom of the pickup bed before you load all the rest of your Rendezvous gear on TOP OF YOUR LOVELY ARROWS!  If this should happen and your fletching looks a little unkempt just send them to me and for a nominal fee of only $12 per arrow I will return the fletching to a like new condition!

Or you can DIY.   Just get a teakettle on the stove boiling nice and hot and run the fletch thru the stream of steam and watch them magically plump. 

Your choice.  Personally I recommend you send them to me, prepaid.   >:D

Haha, I'll probably end up doing it myself, thanks, i didn't know about that steam thing, ill have to remember it :)

If you add a little ERC scales(leaves) to your boiling water it will help to waterproof the feathers plus keep bugs away.

Sometimes a cheat a little and steam the feathers then apply silicone spray to water proof my feathers.

Heck, JW, I've got arrows stored in 5 quivers, a big basket, boxes, and every nook and cranny I leave one. I don't pay attention to them till I need a certain bunch for a certain bow. I was going to send you mine but the wife said no ::). I've got over 300. I did have a set, the only set, that kept the fletching up hunting in a Tropical Storm all day becuase I dusted them with Poly. By the way, it works great for waterproofing.
