I made this shell trumpet out of a Cassis cornuta ("horned helmet")shell input a build along in the build along thread if anyone wants to make one

very neat , i did check out the build along
never realized it was that easy to make one from a shell
cameroo,if it would have been a conch shell then i would have thought of lordof the flies

The apex of a univalve gastropod such as a conch or a snail is the oldest part of the shell (the place where the young animal started growing): in blowing a shell trumpet the sound is passing from the oldest place to the youngest - from the past towards the present.
