Weekend points
« on: March 21, 2011, 12:39:16 pm »
Here are a couple of points I made this weekend. I learn a lot about the varyous qualities of flint.  The point on the left was made from good smooth flint but the two on the right were a little chalky. This made things difficult as I was setting up the point as a preform.  Thinning blows and pressure flake stepped or cruched and made preperation very difficult.  Good flint equals a good times. The second photo is of points I have made in the past month I think.

Those are great John! And your absolutley right about the good solid flint. Can't wait to hear or see the results of your rock blasting ;D.
When you come upon a track or trail you do not know, follow it to the point of knowing.
