Sterling, red oak boards are cheap. Save this one for posterity and start another! Check out George's site for choosing a board stave.

Ty all for the help I see I did choose the wrong board but it's all good I'm not out much if it breaks 4$  i already have the patch and back on I'm going to leave it at the 16 inch draw and finish it out and test shoot it if it lives iv learned alot and if it breaks iv learned alot I'm going to play with it till I break it or not lol either way I'm going to get something out of  it   ;D

Main lesson learned is back it and learn how to choose wood

Lol I have a reason why I picked the pink if the bow works il tell you why. My wife sews so I have alot to choose from even linen but starleigh my 4 yearold loves pink
