44" Hickory (Not for BOM)
« on: March 19, 2011, 10:14:58 pm »
I was bored so I threw this one together real quick. Hickory, 44" ntn, handle with fades is 6" and waisted to 1", 1.25" wide at fades tapering to 3/8" pin nocks, 30#@20", 8oz, and 1.5" of set. This one is so small it feels like a toy but its actually got some firepower. I'd like to get some short light arrows to shoot from it but it'll probably never happen. I'm almost thinking about trying to see how far I can pull it till it explodes since I just got my tillering tree together. If enough of you would like to see that I'll take a video and post it. Thanks for looking.

Looks like a good thing to keep around. If you ever needed a blind bow, you would have it.

Bowmakers are a little bent, but knappers are just plain flaky.

Thanks Bevan. You've convinced me to keep her. At the very least I can give it to someone.

Thanks ken. I usually try to do some trapping on my hickory bows but I didn't take the time to do it for this one.

Nice looking bow. Short and sweet. Don't try to blow it up :o I'm sure that a young person somewhere would like to make a good home for it ;)
