Thank you for the very nice words....these bows are very simple to make and can be in about any combination of wood.

Here's some pics of this bows string knocks, and some pics of other "ice-picks" I've made for friends.

Sorry I cant help with the Osage question....never had any, or worked any, and dont have a clue to the working properties etc.

Why did you have to post these pictures? After my last Ipe bow I swore that I would not make another one for a long time since I only have hand tools. Now after seeing your work of art I am being tempted to buy some Ipe and start another one!

Wonderful little bow.  Bet that does shoot quick.  Looks like there was some glued in reflex, how much would you say?

Parnell, started with about 1-1/2" glued in ....dont believe I lost any of it.

That green grass pic is form last year...ya cant near that tree now, maybe by May?

I can easily hear the sound of the arrow launching from that piece of work - "thwip" - and then "thunk" goes the arrow into the target. The sweet sound of success. Rich, is there a style of bow you haven't tried?

There is a lot of bows I cant make....most all of mine are pretty simple in technique.

Jeff, think you could make most anything outta Ipe.
