thanks everybody for the nice comments these were fun to build and there is something about both that i like the curves on my wifes bow and the beautiful belly lam on mine.

I can't stop looking at these bows Ken, musta come back 5 times already to gawk at that maple.  Gonna have to acquire some of that! :)  I wasn't sure if that would be suitable for a bow or not.  Does it scrape and perform just like regular hard maple?
