what type of notches should i do

Not sure which notch style would look good with this point. Suggestion? I have not finished the right side yet still need to finish the serrations.

if it was mine
i would flake it to have a median ridge on both sides
(high center line on each fasce)
then i would flute it and make clovis

or you could corner notch it and make a version of lost lake

I like the lost lake idea. also i ordered that price guide thing that you mentioned in another post. I think it was you? Anyway I will look up the lost lake I think I know what you are talking about

I would re-shape the point a little but you don't have to.  :)

my opinion, dont worry about typology. just make what you want. serrations look pretty good

Thank you Jamie, I have one side a little thick for long notches so maybe I will try side notches. I think a bad side notch could work where a bad corner could mess me up and result in reworking the tail end. OK stay tuned and I will post the finished piece (fingers crossed) tomorrow. I will do corner notches on the next thin tail. Thank you all for the input you guys are great!

Thank you. I learned something that I did not know on this one. If the side is larger the notch will be larger.  So if I want them to be the same then I need to prepare the tail a little better as I am making the point.  I do love this stone it looks grainy but it is smooth.
