wondering who would be interested??????
« on: March 02, 2011, 02:12:59 am »
if i were to organize a warbow trade starting after this current one ends, who would be currently interested, i am not taking names now, just trying to get an idea if it would be worth it numbers wise. and by warbows, i mean anything around 80+. my guess on the time it would be if it happens is maybe sighing up late April but not being due till some time in august to give time for those in the current trade.
thanks for listening, and i wish luck for anybody in the current trade

Little known fact.......for some folks,  even just touching a warbow one time can turn you into a self righteous b-hole for life. Doesn't happen to everyone.....just be careful....that's all I'm sayin'
ill be careful O:)

by war bows i was thinking more in the 80+ range, but thats leniant, you would just have to be willing to build bows 100+. i partially want to do this to help introduce more people to heavy bows, and encorage people to push them selves, bow building and physically ;D

I realize what you are trying to get going here but for me the last time I drew a 70# bow my arm was out of whack for two weeks. Dont get me wrong I can pull up to 80# barely but I enjoy being able to shoot for a while or multiple times through the day and not be hurting afterwards. I hope you get a few people that are interested, I would enjoy following it ;D
my friends think my shops a mess, my wife thinks I have too much bow wood, my neighbors think im redneck white trash and they may all be right on the money!!

i knew it wouldn't be for everyone, and personally, i think if you have tried and found your limits, thats great. to many people are afraid or just to lazy to try. i totally get wanting to be able to shoot for a while, i actually shoot mostly a 50-60 bow, although its the best shooter i have so far, i do love the big ones though ;D

i completely understand where you come from, i hope that doesn't happen for me, and for me, i don't hunt, so i don't have personal experience with what weight are needed, but ill trust you on that one.
and please, don't hurt your shoulder anymore, i hate to see people get hurt, especially when it means not being able to shoot bows.

I'm one of the people who hasn't found my limit and really doesn't have much interest in finding it at this point. I know I can pull a lot more weight than the bows that I make, but a 50 or so pound bow kills any of the game I hunt dead. A 150 lb bow is no more effective, and I'm sure that I shoot a 50 or 60#er much more accurately, therefore making the lighter bow much more lethal. I doubt I will ever get the chance to shoot at anyone wearing heavy armor that I have to punch through, and there is no water buffalo hunting in my state. I'm a hunter and target shooter and that's what I use my bows for so I use a bow best suited for those tasks. I've got no problem with others who want to test their limits. For me, If I want to test my limits physically.... I use a weight set. My personal interest in bows has nothing to do with how much weight I can pull.

i defiantly respect that, and ken75 i couldn't have said it better, some people prefer different things, like e for instance, i like pushing my limits and can't leave well enough alone
if you know anyone that would be interested in this trade, let me know ;D
thanks
