Hi All,
Has anyone tried a bow from this stuff yet? I have a nice straight sister trunk about 5inch across. When cut i noticed a distinct heartwood/sapwood.
Anyone any experience with this before i take the hatchet to it?

Most of the prunus will make good bows. I'm not familiar with that particular one though. In many cases the sapwood is used for the back.
