Cleaned The Shop
« on: February 27, 2011, 02:11:02 am »
So my shop got out of control and I decided today was a good day to work on it.  I also converted an old piece of crap melamine entertainment center into a decent lil work bench.

Here's a before pic

And an after pic

The GSP pup hung out with me the whole time and wore herself out running around the shop playing with the broom, boxes, and eating snake skin scraps.

Here's the entertainment center after I threw some support on it and made the rack/shelf doo hickey deal.

And here's why I've been nervous to make bows lately.  It's not picking up a humidity reading.

Now that the shop is organized and we have a moisture front coming in, I'm ready to start messing it up again ;D  I think next week I'm going to start working on a real work bench, that saw horse with the 3 1/2" vice just isn't cutting it anymore.

She's doing awesome.  Crazy friggin dog though, tons of energy and stubborn as all hell.

Here's some newer pics of her and Mackenzie.

Mackenzie is the one who crate trained her ;D

And a Dad and Mackenzie pic too :)

Hey Tell,

I really do owe ya one man.  She is a great dog.  And definitely good looking, course she doesn't stay still for very long so it's hard to get pics ;D

Get her trained up then bring her up and go hunting with us.  You could show me some tricks on bowmaking while you are here. ;D

I think I'm gonna make that happen!  Scott got that nice sweet 16, we'll have to get him out and kill some birds with it ;D

No kidding.  I've got 2 trade bows I'll be starting on, a bow that I'll be sending as a gift to someone, a laminate for myself and the recurve that needs to be finished up, it'll be filled with crap in no time.  I've been trying to convince myself that I'll put the tools back and run the shop vac every time I'm done in there....but I don't think that'll happen...it never does.

I have that same thermometer Nate!  I got it from my buddy Erik (snakeman)  he used to use it in his reptile cages and I repurposed it for my heat box.  It works great.   Nice job on cleaning the shop, I promise myself that I will clean it after every bow but it never gets done.  ::)
