Nice looking bow.  This style does have high string tension and this is made even higher with a low brace height

Why hickory heartwood? I have been told to use sapwood.

In my opinion hickory heartwood is more elastic and better keep reflex on limbs , but  from white hickory similar bow is ofcourse also posible. This is about 26 inch draw length , my natural draw lenght , I have short arms . I have made 5,5 inch BH.
