Thanks guys. It is from a board and I steamed the wood for around 45 minutes before I bent them. I bent the limbs over a year ago finally decided to splice them together this weekend and finish it up. Almost done with it now.
That sucks Ken keeping my fingers crossed with mine! Matt, I think I took the tips down to half an inch thick before I steamed them. Then I used a piece of tin on the belly while bending to keep splinters to a minimum but it still had a few. they came out while tillering. I didn't use a 1x2 it was actually a 1x4 and I cut the board to 2" wide. The finished bow is around 1 7/8ths wide at the fades. Hope this helps. Good luck with yours!
