This is all I got so far.  Gonna put the finish on it and then post it.  Just really proud of this one so far had to show the tips off.  :)

Was this from a board or a stave? Steam, boil or direct heat?
That's a nice recurve tip, I hope I can make some like that in the future!

Thanks guys.  It is from a board and I steamed the wood for around 45 minutes before I bent them.  I bent the limbs over a year ago finally decided to splice them together this weekend and finish it up.  Almost done with it now.  ;D ;D

I hope I don't annoy you with my questions, but did you bend it when it was 3/4" thick (assuming this came from a 1x board) or did you thin the board down to near finished thickness? I do most of my work with RO board bows and I'm just starting to experiment with bending, so to see how successful you've been with this gives me lots of encouragement!
Can't wait to see the finished bow.

That sucks Ken keeping my fingers crossed with mine!  ;)

Matt, I think I took the tips down to half an inch thick before I steamed them.  Then I used a piece of tin on the belly while bending to keep splinters to a minimum but it still had a few.  they came out while tillering.  I didn't use a 1x2 it was actually a 1x4 and I cut the board to 2" wide.  The finished bow is around 1 7/8ths wide at the fades.  Hope this helps.  :)  Good luck with yours!

Those are some serious recurves!  Come to think of it, I have a very plain red oak d bow that could be spruced up...
