Those are some nice looking points Steve! I've tried fluting in the past and is something that eludes me - can't stand to get a nice point ready and then snap! kinda got me gun shy.

Very nice Steve. Paul from just south of me gave me a piece of quartzite a couple years ago. It looks tough to knap, as if I would know :)

Thanks again, guys. Cowboy, I just wish I could make points as nice as yours. I still break way more than I succeed with fluting, too. Don't ever knap around Eddie, he's not satisfied 'til he makes you break your point  ;D. Jamie, thanks-I'm working on your points, should get 'em out before long.

Cowboy,Don't believe him.I was just trieing to get him to set higher goals when it came to fluting. And if I remember right I wasn't the only one encouraging you to strive to be better. ;)

Looks ya'll had a good time - always fun to get together. That coral is purty, and tough. Glad your fluting worked out OK, I couldn't get the pic's to open up all the way but saw enough to know what was goin on. Hit it!, Hit it!, it won't break, reminds me of a knap in I made last year - Had a very nice biface worked out bout eight inches long, they showed me the spider grab - I hit that nipple after about fifty test swings and snap, it didn't break but I had a wussy flute about a half inch long. I was too exhausted and stressed out to continue ;D.

Here's a peice of that coral.
