Fletching Glue with shellac

What do you guys that shellac your shafts use for fletching glue?

I may be a bit of an oddball, but I use Titebond III for just about everything, fletching, nock reinforcement thread wrap, handle risers, tip overlays. TBIII works well for fletching but it does take at least 30 minutes to dry. I know a lot of people use Duco, super glue, or fletching tape.

Never thought of using TBIII. Do you 'rough up' the shellac where you are gluing?

Nope. I just shellac the shaft, wait for it to dry (at least an hour), then glue on the fletchings either using the simple jig I made or by hand wrapping.

Hide glue or fish glue.  I don't use a fletching jig, so I put on my fletchings by hand and wrap with sinew.

I've used the gel-type super glue on modern arrows and I really like it.  I haven't used TB for fletching.

One nice thing about shellac is almost anything will stick to it and it will stick to just about anything.  ;)

That is so much cooler that the stuff I am currently using. Have an issue with duco grabbing and holding. going to try the TBIII on the next batch.

i have good  luck with fletch-tite--platinum also fletch-tape will stick to almost anything.

i'll use a urethane glue for  fletching that I think needs gluing.
