First Kill (AZ Javelina)
« on: February 07, 2011, 07:49:08 pm »
Took two shots. First at 27yds....a clean miss. Second shot I took my time, picked a spot and nailed her at 20yds. Together with friends and self-made equipment it doesn't get any better. Its a Hick Stick shooting cane arrows tipped with a Zwickey.

Forever making arrows!

Thats one hunt you won't soon forget.  Would like to be there to help you eat that rascal!  Hunting the old way has great rewards!  I hope you blessed him before you put him on the spit!  Indian Joe

Nice.  I've only hunted them once and they got the better of me.  Lowell, I'm in Dallas and still a long way from where they are. ???

Beautifull Javelina, great equipment, and it's always fun with your buddies. I've been trying to get a hunt together for a Jav', but it hasn't worked out, yet. Congratulations.

Congrats on the Primitive Kill....can't get any better than that.....I have never eaten Javelina or Peccary....not much into Rodents....but I bet they are a treat to stalk....
