not sure what you mean by knots
i dont use thread,i use sinew
but the process should be the same either way i would think

when i start the rap i fold about a half inch up the shaft so that as i am wrapping i am covering this half inch piece
when i get close to finish with the wrap
i take an extra piece and fold it in half to make a loop
lay that acroos the shaft in the area your wrapping, wrap over it sveral times and finish the wrap
then take the tag ebd of yor thred and put it in that loop
pull that loop bak thru with along with the tag end
then just snip off the excess tag end after te loop comes all the way out

hope this helps
i always wanted a harley, untill it became the "thing to ride"
i ride because i love to,not to be part of the crowd

I like this video on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxeFvDgXE54. The fletching part doesn't come on until near the end of the video. Hopefully it can help you, or at the very least be entertaining to watch.
