turn a sow's ear into a silk purse.  just finished "tricking out" my sks rifle.  i replaced the trigger and polished the action a little.  can't wait to take it to the range tomorrow.

theres an AMERICAN company thats making a look alike commi rifle now
just seen it last week on GUNS & AMMO TV (i believe that was the show)
out of the box on the range it was very impressive,3 times the cost
but its made in AMERICA

   NICE Little warnening My brother had one got a old case of AMMO not sure of the name.He was really excited about getting it dirt cheap. At about 1/2 way through the case 1000. One must have been dobble loaded or not loaded enough and one bullet did'nt get out the barrel in time we never did find all the clip or any shells. Jamed the bolt back so hard beating it down against the bench would'nt unjam it,ti took a hammer. Split the stock the whole way on one side. Nocked him completely down. But not a scratch. So be leary of buys old war time ammo. Ammo now is much closer watched than back in the 60's.

My brother had an SKS, so I've seen one. Yours I would never have recognized to be an SKS.

So that's what a souped up SKS looks like. Pretty cool. I'm not sure why I'm keeping mine stock. Guess I like the bayonet.

That looks good, Chris. Tapco kit? I'll have to bring mine down the next time and let it play with yours. Maybe we can raise a litter  of Uzis. :D  Love those old SKSs, one of the most reliable guns out there. And Grunt, you can keep the bayonet with most of the replacement stocks.
