snake skins

I have been seeing alot of watersnakes and think they would look good on a bow. How do i prepare them? Someone said to remove the scales is this nessesary? And how?

Just skin them and scrape off the meat on the inside and put them on or dry them out and put them on later.I rub the scales of when I put them on.If you dry them out you will need to wet them before you put them on.They skin real easy and leave very little meat on the inside.Just be gentle they are fragile.

Right on Dano. The only good copperhead is a skinned copperhead.
I don't usually kill snakes except copperheads.
Their camo is just too good and it's easy to get dangerously close without knowing it.

Lost arra I don't kill many either,it is aginst the law in Tn.and I never break the law
but I have a good friend that works for the road dept. and they kill them when cutting the road side and if they ant to messed up he brings them to me.
