VB, your probably making a good move thanks to Jon, it did get a little crowded there but crowding is good because you don't need to walk so far to chat.  ($960 in tires and $65 in front end aliment CHA-CHING) The tire dealer said that I now can pull my 24ft camper at speeds exceeding  120 mph., so I told him LET'S DO IT.  Chuck

You guys are cracking me up,   As far as cost I have you all whooped. $208 in camper title & tags,  $235 in wheel bearings and deep cycle battery, $240 in food to stack the camper for a month, and I estimate about $1300 in fuel driving myself and all the supplies there. Then there is the other $1007 for Lulyn and Wade to fly down for the weekend.
Somehow I don't think I will be able to do this every year. But we decided this was our major vacation for this year and we were so impressed with Pappy,Greg, Jon ,Big A and all the others that came to Twin oaks to meet us back in October, that we feel it really is our extended family. I am almost done with projects and packing, Wades B-d is today and so I'm not sure if I'll have everything done to hit the road tomarrow or Friday.

Can't wait to meet Ya'll ,,,,,,,,as far as the priceless driving scenarios not sure any are brave enough to ride  4800 miles with me ::)

Will not be able to make it to the Classic until the 29th. :P

I'm going to bring whatever I can find of the "Strawberry" onions I can. They are the same onion, just grown in different soil and a lot earlier.

Just finished soup to feed us.  Will stick in freezer in the morning. So we can eat when ever.

I have the important stuff ready(bows, arrows, sleeping bags) the rest I have to put together this weekend, I also have to pick up tomatoes, jalapeno and habenero peppers for the salsa and I'll whip that together on sunday after I get back from the inlaws Easter dinner, then monday we pack the car, tuesday I daydream through the day at work and at 4:30pm I'm Tennessee bound, We'll drive into the night and probably stop for a snooze when I can't keep my eyes open anymore, I envy people that can drive for hours on end without getting sleepy, I guess I'm like my son when he was little, if we wanted to get him to sleep we'd take him for a ride in the car and he'd go out like a light.

VB I can drive through the night like that, the day, not so much. If I'm riding, I'm unconscious soon as my butt hits the seat, no matter how much sleep I had the night before.
