hickory backed vertical trilam (full draw added)

heres one i finished today . other half of the vertical belly lam that i did a while back. 55 inches tip to tip 48 lbs at 28 . hickory backin with a lil paint.
belly is maple and ipe

What a sharp looking bow.  I'm not big on painted backs but I really like what you did with that one.  Very nice!

That braced profile is about good as it gets.....just flat looks fast.

That's very cool Ken.  Have you made many bows with the verticle lams like that?  I wonder how they would stand up in the long run...  gonna have to try one in the future!

    REAL  NICE!!!!   now  I  have  a  question,, for  you  and  half  eye.   this  way  of  lam'ing  bows  is  different  from  what  we  read!  but  couldn't  you  take  a  board  that  is  not  a  good  choice  and  rip it  and  glue it  in  a  1\4  sawn  lam  board???  and  if  that  is  so,,,,,  just  about  any  board  is  a  good  board ,,?   you  got  me  thinking  JEFFW
