I have a stave that is need of some serious straightening. Just wondering if vine maple takes to heat treating well or if it is a lost cause?

I am no pro but I have taken some knarly twists and bends out of vine maple staves with dry heat, as always it works best once reduced down in size most of the way. Good luck

I've used both dry and steam heat to bend vine maple with good success.
