Been having a run of good flakes lately. Obviously, alot of it is in obsidian. Wish I had more different rock types, but I've learn (as they say) "dance with the woman that brung ya!"

Enjoy!

That is a bunch of nice stuff! You've been at this awhile :).

Love the black ones with deep notches
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

Wish I could remember Sailordad. I want to say red mahogany or something... not sure. I got it from a guy at the Missouri jamboree last summer. I made a few pieces for my grandmother this last fall just before she passed. She loved the red stuff the best of all so I guess I'm kinda partial to it as well now...

I think this is my third year knappin, so I guess I have been at it awhile. I still can't replicate a true pine tree, but I sure am pleased with the way this one turned out. I have been focusing on trying not to leave any bad spots on the sides and I do see improvement. Just nowhere near finished yet.

My wife asked me the other day, "So, are you ready to move on to a new hobby yet?" I said "not even close." I just love this stuff!!

few more pics
