Latest Bird Points
« on: February 07, 2011, 03:11:55 pm »
Saturday was my day for knapping, so I knocked out a few.  I think I'm going to switch gears after these and get back to making bows and such.  I'll try to make about 3 points a week from now on so that I don't get rusty.

Here are my latest:

I tried some very narrow notching but I didn't have much luck.  The pieces have to be VERY thin to get a good, deep, narrow notch.  The points break at various stages... not just during the notching.

Very cool
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!
