Some of My Latest Points
« on: December 21, 2010, 03:58:43 pm »
Been working on my flintknapping for about a year straight.  I haven't posted in a long time, so here's some of my latest points.  I've been concentrating on "bird points" or true arrowheads.

This one is made from a whitetail antler tip.  I used a belt sander and two different drill bits:  one pre-drill and the other a homemade "spade" bit to make the hole cone-shaped.

Here's the batch I brought to the latest knap-in.  Some of them are in the previous pictures.  I'll post more pics (of different points) when I get them all together in one place.   ;D

Thanks Paul.  Yeah, I get a lot from the scrap pile at the local knap-in.  Texas stuff, except for the white stone.

Wow, Patrick, those are some mighty fine looking points. I'd be proud to hunt with any of them, beautifull.
