Justin, we have 30 or more roughed out bows of hickory. We've got to reduce them in thickness again, and will try and have them reflexed. Gary Davis will have osage bows spliced in the handle and reflexed ready to tiller.

After that we'll have to see what we can round up if need be. I'd bring your favorite tools if you can, we got quite a bit on a first come first serve basis. We've averaged over 30 people each of the past two years working on bows, looks like we could easily beat that this year.

Man I wish I could afford to come see ya all. I'm saving my pennies hoping to build a garage/workshop this summer.

Every great chef learns from experimenting, I just didn't have a lot of experience cooking osage!

Most of those meals in the "Life is Good" thread were my dutch oven creations...of course if you keep enough liquid in there you can't hardly go wrong. Now that I think about it, that's what went wrong when I was cooking the osage...ran out of water!

Pappy, it looks like I'm going to. It would cost a little less to fly, but by the time you figure in shipping staves/bows home its about the same. The time with lay overs is not a huge difference either. This way I can bring all my tools and other goodies. I think Ill make more friends if I fill the truck with obsidian and bring it out.

If anybody lives between Ut. and Tn. and wants a ride they are welcome. I have room for 3 more full size guys comfortably. The ride is free, so nobody has an excuse now. Justin
