You can get 28" out of that bow but to do so you will have to make better use of the wood you have.

 I've been watching, there has been no need to comment since you have been getting great advice. But, If it was me, after adding the sinew and letting it cure, I'd scrape a little right at the beginning of the curves and to the bend. I think this would help open up the recurve and get it working a little more. And will probally give you a couple of more inches.

 I'm looking forward to seeing it finished.

Man, I had forgotten about how this one was building....Kyler? Still curing out the sinew?  Can't wait to see this one finished, it should be quite the performer.
