after 2 days of waitng i finally couldnt stand it anymore. i had to string it up get it on the tree to see what it was lookin like. this is the first time lookin at it on the tree . my results of heating the limbs. im impressed at what heat can do to wood.  i gave the bow a good workout. i raised the brace to 5 3/4" and pulled her to 28" on the tree to see what it looked like. according to the scale it came in to 49#@ 28" draw.

a few more. i happen to have a couple of arrows spined for this bow so i had some fun and shot it for several hrs it shoots pretty good.a  little thump in the hand upon release and pretty quiet for not having string silencers. thanks to mr pat for all your advice through this build. i learned alot. i know some things already to change for the next build.still some sanding to do. get her cleaned up a little and apply a finish .

thanks fellas,i tried hard to do a good job. it still needs a finish. i still need to install a pin in the upper limb butt through the steel sleeve to make it perminant , handle wrap, possibly some snakeskins. im not sure if i want to use tru oil or some satin urithane finish thats sprayed on.

Great job Broke tooth. I have one of those sleeves and have yet to do anything with it. I always wondered about tillering the limbs after I had them glued in. Kinda worried me in case I make a mistake and have to scrap the bow.  I have a number of billet sized staves I intiend to use when I do mine.I am curious how most guys do it?    Danny
