I don't know about splitting frozen osage but I allowed some elm to freeze and it did split easier than I expected.

how are you gonna afford all the snake skins you need to back those snakey bows ??

If all else fails and you can't get bows out of it, try making some arrow shafts from it!  Heck, make arrow shafts from the scraps just for the fun of it anyway!

What size suit coat do you wear?  I wanna make sure we have the right looooong sleeved dinner jacket with the pretty straps and shiny buckles for you when you crack up!

I see you guys are just full of advise for me. If these pan out I figure there will be snake skins out there that will fit them. Jw if you want the scraps out of this log I would be glad to send them to you for arrow shafts. Make sure you cut a wide enough arrow shelf for them though. HA. Brock I think they will give the twisted sisters a real run for the money. Here is one more picture for you to look at. I did get a pair of billets also. Dean

I've never made an arrow shaft from  bow scrap and if there ever was a wood that you WOULDN'T want to start learning from, this would be it!  In other words?  Heck yeah!

I bet with a sharp knife and about 40 hours of work I could get a snakey arrow shaft from it!

I'll even pay the shipping!
