Nice bow George, I'd be sweating arrows trying to pull that thing back!  From a stave or board?

Nicely done! No harm in not using horn nocks... I don't, more often than I do.

Hi }|{opukc,

To the British Mountain Ash is actually Rowan, I don't think what you are showing there is Rowan.
To us in Australia Mountain Ash is the name we give to Eucalyptus Regnans  and I am certain that it is not that.

Yes, this is not about Rowan. I think rather that Fraxinus excelsior.

Nice tiller on that bow, I love that big axe of yours, got a great medieval look to it, nice curved handle.

Hi }|{opukc,,

Yes I thought it may be European or Common ash.

By the way your bow looks excellent, must say I prefer horn nocks, but that's a personal opinion I know others (dell amongst them) have other opinions.

Craig.

That looking fraxinus excelsior to me.
Nice work on that horn, but I think U have to reduce from the size and weight more.  ;)

The horns is for a next warbow. I would like to make something from elm, may be(120-130#). They were purchased in this species, will decrease over time and formed.
