Here is a bow I made for a friend I had been doing physical therapy with, for a shoulder injury. He was has been a competition pistol shooter for the past twenty years of his life and upon finding out that I made bows he was quickly interested. Learning to shoot this bow was a totally new experience for him, but he is hooked. His shoulder has healed up well and he can get out and shoot daily with no problem(which was far from the case when i first gave him the bow).
here it is, 67" Osage 1.375 at the fades .25 at the tips. Its 40#@27". The snakes are WDB and the strike plate is WDB belly skin. I was pretty impressed with the cast for this lighter weight bow. I have been making too many short bows lately, I'm gonna have to make a strong arm version of this long bow for my personal use sometime soon.
yes I did catch poison ivy while taking these photos, and yes I knew I was kneeling in it in my FD picture lol
