Hard Maple Question
« on: December 02, 2010, 07:26:39 pm »
Can hard maple be used as the core for a horn bow?  I'm planning on starting the initial phases of one over my christmas break and would like some input as to the core material.  Also, what kind of shape should i be looking for before sinewing.

I haven't built any horn bows either, but maple is my fave whitewood, by far.
