Hard Maple Question

Can hard maple be used as the core for a horn bow? I'm planning on starting the initial phases of one over my christmas break and would like some input as to the core material. Also, what kind of shape should i be looking for before sinewing.

havent built any horn bows but i would think hard maple would be an excellent core wood for anything . jmo

I haven't built any horn bows either, but maple is my fave whitewood, by far.
