Finally got a hold of a camera...Hickory D and Red Oak Molly
« on: November 24, 2010, 08:57:32 pm »
Hey guys I'll get some full draws this week when my room mate is here to take some pics...sorry it took so long.

Stats to refresh you guys

Hickory is super smooth drawing...working grip and fades with a pyramidal profile.  Backed with hemp threads sinew style in small bundles.

57 1/4" nock to nock,
45lbs at 26",
1.5" string follow...settles to dead flat.

Red Oak is my heaviest so far...I guess this board is fairly dense.  Working limb is only 36.5" (including handle and fades).  Stave started out as a 66" long 1x2 red oak.  Finished in candle wax...works pretty well IMO.

64 1/2" nock to nock
50lbs at 26",  I've pulled it to 28" on the tree.
2" string follow resting to 1.5" set.

Close up of narrow tips

Looks real nice!  I see what you've been saying about narrow tips.  That would make those Mollegabet levers just about big knuckle wide at the fades to the limbs?
Can't wait for the full draws!
