Tillering Question

I remember reading something recently that said if the limbs of the bow are the same length that you need to tiller the upper limb to bend 3/8 inch more that the bottom limb. Do I have that right? backword? I make bows with the handle centered on the stave/board, with the limbs the same length and the arrow pass/shelf 1 inch above center. I have gone back through what I have been reading lately and can not find it again. ???

i make mine same length but i go for my arrow shelf 1 1/2 above center. never had trouble out of them

most my bows are done with a 4" handle area(2.5"below center,1.5" above center),with the arrow rest about 1.25"over center
i usually try and tiller the lower limb slightly stiffer than the upper,3/8ths should be fine

That's what I do BUT at full draw. I don't care what it is doing at brace height. Jawge
