The tillering stick on the bathroom scale is a bit scary when I do it.  Where do you guys get those scales that hook on the bow I see in pictures?   I built a tillering stick/grid panel with the rope and pulley set up yesterday and I'd love to have a scale to use on it.

I just have a cheap fish scale that only goes to 50 lbs- walmart has them.

I got the one youl see in my pictures from eBay, it was 10 bucks plus shipping, and goes to 110 lbs.  There were several of them available when I was looking for one about a month ago.  I think I did a search for "dial scale" or something like that.  But it seems to work really well and was super cheap.

Check your local archery or sporting goods store. They make scales for bows. A ring on one end and pigtail on the other makes them pretty safe and the sliding indicator is helpful too. Its nice to buy local if you can.

I got mine at Bass Pro Shop too I think mine goes to 125 or so.   It's red and cylindrical-shaped.   Cost under 25 dollars and works like a charm.  :)

I got one at Tractor Supply that's 0 to 110 lbs. for $30. If like most folks you're making bows about 50 lbs., you want your bow weight to fall in the middle of the range for your scale.  Any scale is usually the most accurate at the middle.

3 Rivers sells them. I use the one where the weight registers and stays. I attach to the rope of my rope and pulley. No t sticks for me. Jawge

 Mine is like George's. It has a slide that moves when I pull so you can keep track of how far you pull it.

I bought mine from a butcher supply store. It's a hanging dial scale.
