"The way of heaven is like the bending of a bow-
the upper part is pressed down,
the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."

The way that bow is strung is for storage only. Not the way I would do it but the way some folks do. I keep the string loop on the lower nock and allow the upper string loop slide down the top limb.

I don't like storing a bow like that because a neophite might try to draw it backwards.

I remember when I was young, I was living in this group home for boys. One of the staff took us to his house when we were just supposed to be going to kroger's or something, he was a cool staff. I was like 15 or something, and he had a recurved bow. He asked me to string it and I picked it up and tryed to string it backwards! On top of that, like five seconds before this happened he showed me a sword he had made himself, and asked me to hold it straight out. So I tried and didn't even make it a second with the thing out and it promptly dropped and ripped huge hole into his couch! That guys must of wanted to kill me! Man I felt bad about that afterward...
