Does anyone know of anyone teaching how to make a selfbow in Pennsylvania? I would like to try making a bow and prefer someone to teach me the basics.

That's a heck of a hike from Pennsylvania.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Ryano used to give classes up there someplace. They have a shoot every year. About June if I am remembering correctly.
Look up Ryano and send him a PM.
He is one of the good guys.
Superb bow builder.

I'm only half the way from Pennsylvania to Washington, come on over and we'll set you up in the garage and get you some experience making chips! On the down time I'll take you up to Mt Rushmore and out to the Badlands.

sometimes an even better deal than taking organized classes with groups of ppl, is just befriending a bowyer. Most of us are more than willing to share our knowledge if your ready too learn and put in the work. Ty
