Wife's Bow

IT'S NOT PURPLE, IT'S OXBLOOD. (LOL just kidding Nate)
It's actually just purple tissue paper used to wrap gifts. My wife wanted a bow so she could learn to shoot and she wanted it to look like a girl's bow so this is what I came up with.
It is Osage Orange and 63" NtN and 30 Lbs @ 26". 6 coats of tru oil and two coats of satin poly. It was hard to glue the tissue paper down on the bow--you have to make sure the tissue paper is straight because once it touches the glue, it's gonna rip if you try and adjust it too much. I just kinda pushed all the air out and left it textured which gives it a little more character I think. I also incorporated a different design on the handle wrap than I usually do. The arrow pass is Purpleheart and I made it a little extra wide to accomodate for her not used to shooting yet. I got her to do the full draw but I still haven't taught her about anchoring and drawing yet. Whaddaya think? Thanks for looking!

Thanks Nate and Ken! This might be my last one for awhile, I am going Tuesday to meet with my surgeon to schedule my surgery. I am aiming for the second week of November but that is up to him when it happens really. Glad you guys like it.

Cool bow Josh. The tissue paper does have a "leather" like look. I'm sure Kitten will love it!
