HEy Guys....I got wind of a good deal on rough sawn/seasoned yellow birch, cherry and ash lumber this week.

I bought all I could afford or load in the truck at the time.....also picked up the Makita planer you see in the pic...
Question I have is can I use some of the yellow birch as hand planed shafting? Anybody tried Yellow birch as shaft wood?
I got lots of plans for this lumber....paddles, Turkey calls, snowshoe frames and yes, maybe even a bow or two

This is only about a third of what I got....
