trade point run!
« on: August 11, 2010, 02:59:02 pm »
Well i am finishing up with the last kitchen knife that people have ordered( justin, yours will be  in the mail with the other knife tomorrow morning)
So there was some orders for trade points. I have to make 3 Dz. BUT it is as easy once i am in production mode to make 9 DZ as it is  3Dz.

So if any one wants any let me know. They are made of 15N20 a nickle bearing steel, that has bout 70 points of carbon. so a great over all steel. I will temper then to bout 52 so they wont break nor bend if they hit a hard object but will keep a good edge. i will polish the edes and leave the center rough from the forge.
If ya wanna Dz or so let me know and we can work something out.

God Bless
Kenneth

Kenneth, I'm interested in a few dz.
I found many years ago that it is much easier and more rewarding working with those that don't know anything than those that know it all.

Hi Kenneth,

Can do either...it will be a few months before I do any drones as my shop is a mess and I concentrate on my branch flutes...do have E's but just the average E and not any really "bass" flutes...those bass rascals can throw you some curves.  Can you send me an email with the approximate value of a dozen points?  I would need to balance the swap with an appropriate flute.  Note: My tuning is standard NAF style mode 1 and 4 (tuned digitally not "Grandfather") and is not like Ken's as he has his own style of tuning.(Not to say anything negative about his tuning...it is just a different style)

Do ya have anymore trade points hanging round?

Hi Kenneth,

Forgot to mention...if you want to turn a six hole into a five hole just cut a strip of leather and wrap it over the fourth hole up.:)
