Looks like you had good instruction. Fine looking bow and arrows. Are you hooked yet?

Wow, excellent work.  I had to break about 8 before one shot and it wasn't tillered anywhere nearly as nice!  You're lucky to have had a good teaching experience like that, congratulations and look forward to seeing more!

I gotta try some hard maple this winter!

Do it, do it!

Looks like you had good instruction.

Ya, they were all right I guess...   :P  Just kidding, they were awesome.  Great guys too!  And thanks a lot Adam, you've unleashed the monster. >:D  I find myself thinking about bows when I fall asleep, first thing when I wake up, and every where in between.  Probably dream about them too...  I keep thinking about who I know that I think needs a bow, and the list is growing.  I think all my money that I was saving to go on vacation this winter is gonna be gone before winter comes  ;D  Wonder what the girlfriend is going to think about that?

Scott, the bow is about 1 and a half inches at the widest part, and then starts to taper a little past mid-limb.  Here's a couple unbraced pictures.  It ended up taking just under an inch of set, and after shooting for half an hour, takes about an inch and five eighths of string follow. I love the maple, and I can't see any reason why my next few bows won't be maple.  And living in Saskatchewan, Canada, it's kinda patriotic too!

Take care guys!

Cameroo,

It looks like your first bow turned out better than my 12th.  Nice work!  I also like your bracer!

This has nothing to do with the bow, but I just thought I'd add a couple pictures of what I've been up to the last couple evenings.  I wrapped the fletching on my 12 arrows because I think it looks cool.  8) I used B50, mainly because I was too lazy to go buy some black cotton thread, and sealed it crazy glue.  I wasn't sure how well this would work with the waxy film on the B50, but it seems to be holding well.  The ends of the thread are pulled under the wraps anyway, so the glue was more to protect the thread than to hold the knot.

Then I started working on a quiver, and almost finished.  I just have to put a strap on it yet, and might add a knife holder.

Been hanging' around bowmakers
Been learning 'bout tiller
Been hanging around arrow fletchers
Been learnin' about spine

Apologies to Uncle Ted on that one.

I look forward to seeing your bows in pictures with some of those legendary Northern Saskatchewan bucks!
