Poker Anyone??
« on: October 05, 2010, 07:51:34 pm »
Ok, well I know these things never last but I've been wanting to try this one so I thought I'd see who wants to join.  We're gonna play poker, 5 arrow draw to be specific.  Rules are simple, I've got a printout with the four suits 6 up through ace: you get five shots from 5 yds to make the best hand.  You can only score one shot per card per round and if you hit the same card twice it counts as a miss.  I figure we'll give it a go and if it catches on we can make some changes later on to mix it up.  I'll take my shots either this evening or tomorrow some time and post.  Have fun and shoot well all.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Sorry, not super tech savvy but i'll put the link to my photobucket to try printing there.  I think if you zoom in and right click on the picture and click print it should be the same size, I beleive the one i printed was 952 pixles by 690 pixles seems like this one is showing up less than that...

I'll try printing another tomorrow from there to see if it turns out the same.  The one I printed off after I made it came out looking like this on a normal piece of printer paper...

hope this works...

Try this one. Right click on the picture, choose save as and name it whatever you want. Open the photo in your favorite photo software and click print so the print dialog box opens. Click landscape so it prints sideways on the paper and click scale to fit then print it. It should cover most of a standard sized piece of paper.

Thanks for the help Justin.  Let's say we have until Sunday at 3:00 pm eastern time.  Hopefully we can get some more digital shoots going even if this one flops, always kinda liked 'em myself.

Well I got my shots in today.  I'm sure somebody is better than this and I suppose by posting earlier I'm showing my hand and making it easy to beat.  Settled for two pair.  I know it's deer season and turkey season for various people.  I plan on making an attempt when I can find an open weekend.  As for now I'm already practicing so I figured I'd see if anyone was up for it.  I ALWAYS need more practice, lol.

Lol, that is what happens when your mind mixes two of a kind with a pair...spent too long digging today to think straight...
